- Pencil – easier to apply, lasts less, blends great though in summer it may melt and run into your eyes causing pain
- Liquid – hard to apply, lasts long, doesn’t blend at all, it is better for night makeup
- Powder – the easiest to apply, lasts less, blends well, ideal for day makeup
How to buy eyeliner
Since you have chosen the type of eyeliner you prefer, it is up to you to decide the brand. If you are a beginner, try the powder or the pencil for start and when you master it, you can try the liquid type for more dramatic looks!How to apply eyeliner
Most liquid, cream and powder eyeliners come with a brush. In case yours is not, then you will also need a small stiff brush or you may use your lipstick brush (if you chose pencil, obviously you do not need a brush).Dip your brush to your preferred eyeliner or use the pencil and draw a thin line along your upper lash line for day makeup and both lash lines for night makeup.
Then, unless you have chosen the liquid, use your fingers and blend it with your eye shadow.
Extra tips for eyeliner
- If you cannot draw a straight or thin line, there is no need to worry. If you have chosen the liquid eye liner, use a wet cotton swab to straighten the line or just blend it well with your eye shadow if you have chosen any other type of eyeliner.
