Types of Concealer
- Cream
Use it if you need large areas covered such as acne or freckles. It covers well all imperfections and it is best for dry & normal skin.
- Stick
It covers well blemishes, pimples, dark circles but you should use it only in small areas because it cannot easily blend with the foundation plus it is not suitable for sensitive skin.
- Powder
Best for oily skin, easy to apply and blend with your foundation but gives you poor coverage. Use it if your imperfections are lighter.

Since you have chosen the type that best suits your complexion, it is up to you to decide the brand.
You could also take your foundation with you and try them together to find out if they blend well and the coverage.
How to apply
Generally, concealer is best applied right after foundation while colored concealer (green, blue, yellow and purple) is best applied before.Depending on the areas you want covered, you apply small portions of the product directly on your imperfections and then you blend it with your fingers until you no longer see the concealer.
In case of dark circles or acne it is best to pat it because It offers better coverage that way and does not damage sensitive or extra thin skin.
Extra tips
- Dark circles are best covered if you apply the concealer on your eyelids too. Don’t forget their inner corner, close to the base of your nose, because the skin there tends to be darker. And remember to pat it, don’t rub it.
- If you just want a lighter complexion then choose a concealer only a tone lighter than your skin.
- Always use darker concealer and foundation for your tanned days!
